P. David Ebersole DIRECTOR: A member of DGA, P. David was singled out a decade ago by Filmmaker Magazine as one of "25 New Indie Faces." P. David made his prime-time television directing debut in 2006 with DESIRE, the first American telenovela on the new Fox-owned My Network TV and also directed their hit follow-up novella, WICKED WICKED GAMES starring Tatum O'Neal. His first feature, STRAIGHT RIGHT, premiered as an original cable movie on the Sundance Channel. His current project is HIT SO HARD, a documentary about the life and near-death story of Patty Schemel, the drummer of Courtney Love's seminal grunge band, Hole. As a student filmmaker, he won Best Undergraduate Film & Director at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for his project LOVER MAN (1986); and he was awarded the Franklin J Schaffner Award for Best Film/Director at the American Film Institute for his multiple award-winning thesis DEATH IN VENICE, CA (1994).

PRODUCER: P. David is co-producer on STRANGER INSIDE, a world premiere cable movie for HBO Films, directed by Cheryl Dunye and produced by Jim McKay, Michael Stipe and Effie T. Brown. STRANGER INSIDE debuted as a special screening at Sundance, and it was nominated for a GLAAD Award for Best TV movie as well as four IFP Spirit Awards. He also co-wrote/co-produced THE NEW WOMEN, starring cult superstar Mary Woronov, released theatrically in Canada through Vagrant Films. Short films include The Ebersole Hughes Company collaborations, DING DONG and HUBBY/WIFEY, and Berlin Intl Film Festival Teddy Award winner, 2/3, directed by Richard Press. In TV, he was Executive Producer on the pilot OUT THERE for VH1.

WRITER: P. David won the Outfest Screenplay Competition for his drama FLOWERS FOR ALBUQUERQUE, also a semi-finalist in the Ultimate Filmmaker Competition; and his script OCEANSIDE was selected to the prestigious No Borders section of the Independent Feature Film Market in New York. Ebersole-Hughes screenplays include a biopic on Jayne Mansfield, THE DEVIL MADE HER DO IT; WHOEVER YOU ARE I LOVE YOU, optioned by Mutual Film Company; and VIOLATION (directed by Darin DeWitt Henson), airing on Showtime under the banner of SOUL DECISIONS: Films Directed by Actors from "Soul Food." The most recent Ebersole-Hughes script is "soy mi madre," a telenovela inspired museum installation by English artist Phil Collins, commissioned by the Aspen Art Museum and currently playing film festivals worldwide.

AND MORE: P. David was the founding Artistic Director and Festival Director of the Silver Lake Film Festival, he is a mentor in Film Independent's "Project:Involve" program, he produced and directed documentary segments for LAWSON LIVE on the Hallmark Network, and he has taught film and video production at Pitzer College, Chapman University and USC School of Cinema/TV. He is currently the Distribution Consultant to the American Film Institute for their short film library. Moving into publishing, Todd and P. David collaborated with photographer/philanthropist Nigel Barker on his new book, THE BEAUTY EQUATION, available for purchase as of September 2010.

Todd Hughes DIRECTOR: Todd went to college at Columbia University in New York and quickly earned a reputation for his Feminette Productions - a series of outrageous new wave short films. In 1986 Todd moved to Hollywood and continued to make his underground featurettes, scoring a festival hit in 1995 with the infamous DING DONG. Todd's first feature THE NEW WOMEN (2001) was co-written with husband P. David Ebersole, starred cult superstar Mary Woronov and earned Todd the cover of Filmmaker Magazine as one of the new faces of indie film. The film was released theatrically in Canada and is available on DVD from Ariztical Entertainment. Todd scored another festival hit with HUBBY/WIFEY, a love letter from Gertrude Stein to Alice B. Toklas and his WOUNDED CHILDREN can be seen in the feature anthology of Jack T. Chick tracts, HOT CHICKS, which premiered at the 2006 Los Angeles Film Festival and remains an internet sensation. Keeping a hand in DIY art films, Todd's YouTube Channel "Picklepuss" features his commercial spoof JULIE! and the follow-up JULIE 2: BASED ON THE NOVEL OSCAR-PUSH BY THE TENDASOFT CORPORATION & LISA MRAZ, as well as a second Chick tract, ONE WAY, and SUGARTITS (with Tim Kirk), a dramatization of the exact transcript of the Mel GIbson scandal.

PRODUCER: Todd's first feature producing effort is The Ebersole Hughes Company's current project HIT SO HARD, a documentary about the life and near-death story of Patty Schemel, the drummer of Courtney Love's seminal grunge band, Hole. He also produced SWIMMING, a musical short film based on the Gretchen Phillips song which is now available on DVD.

WRITER: A member of WGA, Todd has written six feature scripts with his husband, one with acclaimed filmmaker Cheryl Dunye, one with actor Brian Newkirk, LATIN BOYS GO TO HELL 2 with Andre Salas and several on his own. Todd was a staff writer on the new Twentieth Television telenovela WICKED WICKED GAMES starring Tatum O'Neal, wrote a short animated series for MTV and co-wrote the webanovela GIRL COUSINS with Jamie Tolbert Franklin. The Ebersole Hughes script for VIOLATION (directed by Darin DeWitt Henson) airs on Showtime under the banner of SOUL DECISIONS: Films Directed by Actors from "Soul Food." Most recently, Todd and P. David worked with artist Phil Collins writing the screeplay for his art film "soy mi madre" starring Patricia Reyes Spíndola. Stills from "soy mi madre" have been turned into a collectible art book and, after premiering at the 2010 Berliniale, it is now playing worldwide on the fest circuit.

His design career includes a 12-year position as Creative Director of the American FIlm Institute's websites, as well as sites for film noir great Lizabeth Scott, worldwide cult superstar Mary Woronov, famed literary photographer Stathis Orphanos, actress/comedienne Mary Scheer, and singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom, among others.
